Mission Statement
Team S.O.U.L Project’s mission is to empower youth by exposing them to positive role models. We firmly beleive in the importance of giving back to the community and stand by our motto Moving Forward by Reaching Back.
We also seek to aid families in the transition from shelters to stable housing environments by providing them with knowledge and resources that will serve as a foundation for the new lives they are building.
Who We Are
Team S.O.U.L Project members are a diverse and enthusiastic group of volunteers who share a common desire to make a positive impact on the youth of Atlanta.
What We Do
With a firm belief in the principle of the ancient African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” we have adopted eight families in need from the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, which allows us to serve 24-26 children. At our quarterly events we provide haircuts, manicures, games and meals for the children, and provide them with school supplies. The parents receive career counseling, free clothing, legal advice, and blood pressure screening. Each mother also receives a gift tote of household necessities donated by our members and sponsors. These events are also designed to teach the children the importance of giving back, to that end, at each event the children work on projects that give back to the community.
